Express ghost train

To me; to you,
from me; for you.
For you to flee,
for me to do.
The same as the different,
reign of denial.
Mundane as it's name,
complacent for now.
Rise and fall,
night on day.
Blackness blinding through the lights diminished,
sweltering heat of agony's sweet lies.
More than the thought of triumphant failure's raining down,
tears no more than the day you were born.
Still returning to remind of hardships yet to bear you again,
survival of the fittest enduring all but your own deceitful invitation.
In doing so taking the world into your mind,
leaving your soul to be broken and tattered.
Only a ghost remaining of a once bright shining star,
or maybe myself on a midnight ghost train.
