River Of Emotions
In the depths of my heart
There flows an empty river
Wanting to be filled
With even the tiniest sliver
Drifting out to sea
All my emotions set sail
Too afraid to swim
Fearing I again will fail
Way out in the distance
There is a shimmering light
Calling out to me
From the darkness of the night
Pulling me closer at times
Drifting away just the same
Not knowing what to do
Such a pity, what a shame
Stuck in a raft
On the sea of emotions
Trying to stay afloat
Not swept away in the motions
