A Proud and Free Spirit
~~~ Wild Fire ~~~
"A Proud and Free Spirit"
He stomped his hoofs and tossed his head to show how
impatient he could be.
So beautiful and spirited...you would think he ran wild
and free.
A powerful steed with beauty and grace,
Intelligence and spirit was written in his face.
Such a picture he made outlined against the sky,
When he raised on his hind legs you would almost
think he could fly.
Then he turned and galloped down the hill,
When he got to the bottom he began to kneel.
A slight sliver of a woman jumped on his back
and clutched his mane,
Then he rose and it was like they were one,even
without saddle or rein.
She laughed in delight as they galloped across the shore,
This horse,the sea,that sunset...who could ask for more.
