Words of Light

The Universe has given us a gift which brings us great joy,
Inside this bundle of life, our little baby boy. Not really a gift, but rather a short term loan, Because he isn't a material item or something that we own. This loan was entrusted to us our duty it will be, To raise and teach him to live in harmony. With all of life around him, we'll teach him to see, That we are all divine, one consciousness, and a total unity. When he meets other people, we'll teach him to know, That we are all God's children, wherever we may go. We'll teach him that God is not jealous, or angry, but only love, And that God resides in all of us, not just sitting up above. As he grows his knowledge will increase, And hopefully he'll be the one to always keep the peace. The Universe has loaned us this precious little baby boy, We can't help but feel happiness, gratitude and great joy. When he's all grown up and continues to love all, Then we will have done a great job--help the evil to fall. Vote for this poem |
