So you say that you're in love,
But what do you know of unconditional love?
Do you put your love on hold when things aren't so great?
When times are most difficult, does your love turn to hate?
True love is not conditional or only when times are good,
But, love is a word often used, but rarely understood.
To love in all times is what love is all about,
To love when you're hurt or angry, to love when you have doubts.
True love knows that there's no guarantee,
That because I truly love you, you'll in turn love me.
My heart is in heaven when I love you always,
My soul belongs with God, because I'm loved everyday.
I thank God for loving me, even though I'm not through,
God loves me because God made me, knowing one day I'd be true.
So be filled with this real love, this love divine,
The kind of love that the Creator has for all mankind.
