In my mind I live a world where there are no bills to pay.
I live in a perfect place where we love eachother all throughout the day.
If I close my eyes really, really tight,
This crazy world we live in, fades to dark, like the night.
Then, through this darkness, a new world appears,
One like the one I've dreamt of, a world without fears,
Or tears, anger or jealousy, or other forms of seperation,
A world where all of life being united, is our pre-occupation.
To you this may seem crazy or a little far fetched,
But to me, a mental artist, this world is easily sketched.
In order to complete this masterpiece, I'll need a helping hand,
From the Great Creator and from my fellow humans.
See, we have the power to create just how our world will be,
But this new world will take cooperation from all--you and me.
In my mind this cooperation has already taken place,
And the new and perfect, peaceful world has taken the old one's space.
I wish that I could reach your mind, then I'd show you too,
So you'd know I'm not making this up, it's my reality so true.
When you have some time to be quiet and to clear your head,
Then you can release this old world and grasp the new one instead.
