Why do you kill our animals? God's gift to you and me,
You reply that we have to-- in order to have some meat.
But, in that great book the Bible, the book you say you've read,
It teaches that we could eat fruit and vegetables instead.
God put the animals on Earth for us to guard and cherish,
Not for us to raise them to great sizes, then cause them to perish.
The studies will reveal some day, the true causes of sickness,
And that we should abstain from eating meat and do so with a quickness.
I've often wondered if a cow awoke and knew it would be slaughtered that day,
And when it's time to reap the sowing will we ready to pay?
For, if we continue to choose to eat steaks and all sorts of beef,
We may as well be digging our graves without shovels, using our own teeth.
Some will say, "No red meat or pork--I eat only chicken and fish."
To them I say ror these poor animals, to be killed was not their wish.
To kill in order to survive was not the plan of course,
And as long as we continue to do so then we won't see the source,
Of all types of health issues and our heart disease.
So I urge, I plead!! Stop eating our animals, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE.
