Are You Her Lonely Beast Within?

look at her,
or, God; look away!
i almost want to cover my eyes.
her dry mouth, where's her hair?
is beauty only skin deep?
what do you think? opinions please..
lock her away in a room. isolation, meant for animals
inside her darkness, rage. is she a beast meant for a cage?
how scary it must be, not knowing where you belong.
yet, not knowing how to leave.
do we? should i?
run from what they, nor i understand?
is she the only friend/enemy she has?
should i let her in, make her feel at home?
loved at last?
i pause...
look down from that image that had captured my eyes.
i look quickly away, from a fractured, tainted, lying picture; disguised.
do i have a soul?
yes, look into my eyes, they're my mirror.
sometimes i have to take my spirit in for repair.
then, i can look at this fear-filled person; me.
with love, not caged; but free.
