Broken Soul

Time has slipped through tender fingers
Leaving a mark on a heart once fragile
Sweet innocence robbed blind with pain
Tears fall in this lonesome parade

Broken sits the heart once free
Shattered glass of a distant memory
Tattered pages for what once could be
Watery depths of eyes once luminous

Falling in desperation, I can not see
Stirring cries taken from within
Broken in my silence, I feel the pain come in
My heart beat resounds its last good-bye
