Why Is It Hard?Why is it hard to understand? The reason for hurt and pain, Struggle and strife and suffering, Over and over again! Why is it hard to understand? The reasons wherefores and whys Of all that is sad and hurtful, And the reason for the pitiful cries Why is it hard to understand? The people's fears and plight, The hurting of the heart, And the cries that go out in the night! Why is it hard to understand? The feelings second to none, When pain is caused and suffering, Why! What have we done? Why is it hard to understand? The reasons for which we don't comprehend! For all the pain in the world of today! And why has suffering become our friend? Why is it hard to understand? All the things that happen so bad, And the reasons for the babies sufferings, And for the lives lost that they never had! Why is it hard to understand?
