THE ENTRANCE OF MY HEART
The entrance into my heart
was once closed for good,
ripped apart from abuse,
not even myself understood.
My heart lay wounded
left on the side of the road,
I barely recognized it,
it looked so cold.
The entrance of my heart
was sealed tightly locked,
til the day that the Savior came,
And I heard as he silently knocked.
My heart to weak to even
look outside,
Just closed it ears
and retreated back to hide.
But soon again a call
to my desperate heart, I heard,
This time more clearly
I could hear the Savior speak a word.
He whispered gently, I long
to give you a new heart,
But first let me in,
my healing hand I will impart.
The entrance of my heart
that once no one could hold,
Is now kept safe and secure
held by the Saviors control.
