Imperfect

Yes it's true I'm imperfect
Perhaps that's all I'll ever be
Out of all of my qualities
That one shines out best in me

Diamonds aren't flawless
They chip and they break
Hearts are no better
For they mourn and they ache

Angels up in the heavens
Must have had a sin or two
So why am I expected
To be perfect in everything I do?

Mountains have rockslides
Stars fall from the sky
Stones are swept by erosion
Even morning doves cry

I guess there isn't a reason
It's been the same from ending to start
I'm still sitting here imperfect..
So why bother picking imperfection apart?
