For What It's Worth

Here is my heart it's tattered and torn
It's a little discolored and somewhat worn
So here it is for what it's worth....
Hold it close....it speaks the softest word

Here are my tears...they're salty and blue
So many I've cried and some were for you
So take them now for what they're worth
I'm giving them to you though I've had them since birth

Here is my smile.....it comes out now and then
It's a precious thing...it might come out again
So take it now for what it is worth....
You're the only one who saw it today, the first

Here is my soul....it's weary and faded
It longs to be free....it has patiently waited
So watch it go for what its worth...
For it can't survive another day on this earth
