Inventions [Good or Bad]
Remember years ago before the remote control?
You had to actually get up to turn on the television show.
Of course there wasn't as many channels then.
A good thing to when you think of the trouble
it would have been.
My sons were real young back in those days,
We would sit in the living room with our t.v. trays.
The boys would get up to turn the channel for their Dad.
Finally...the remote control was invented and we were so glad.
Now though things have changed,and not for the best,
Everynight my husband and that "Remote" put my patience
to the test.
My "Better Half" hates commercials,he changes it so
much I miss part of the shows,
Seldom do we watch an entire movie...I blame it on
the "Remote Control".
I doubt my husband knows where the controls are on
our t.v. set,
The couch is about as close to it as he gets.
The worse thing I could do as a wife...let the
batteries get weak,
It happened once and I heard about it for a week.
The t.v. is mine is weekdays twelve-thirty till four,
Even I have limits...I'll take so much and then no more.
