Strong As One...2003

Strong together
Two as one
Strong together
Weak alone

Twisted, bent and broken in half
I crawl. I cry. I reach for your hand

You who are bent
And weary as one
Choose to stand
Alone and be strong

My heart is empty. My heart if full
My heart is hungry; And cries out for you

I've cast out all others
Who wanted me to be theirs
Those who've caressed my spirit
My body, my hair

I can only see you. I can only feel your touch
I feel safe in your presence. Yes, I'm asking too much

Your plate is too full
To add my meager desire
I can't stand alone
Can't put out the fire

I write for you the words that I dare not speak
It is comfort together with you, that I seek

Strong together
Two as one
Strong together
Weak alone

Twisted, bent and broken in half
I crawl. I cry. I reach for your hand

Like a small broken baby
I need to be held
I need to be loved
And give love as well

I can no longer stand to stand here alone
I am but a queen with no king by my throne

Strong together
Two as one
Strong together
Weak alone

Twisted, bent and broken in half
I crawl. I cry. I reach for your hand

I can only see you
I can only feel your touch
I feel safe in your presence
Yes. I'm asking too much

Your plate is too full to add my meager desire
But I can't stand alone
I can't put out the fire...
