Cloudy
Condensed
Incensed
With fragrant rain

Is it causing you pain
Turbulent clouds
Holding in your rainstorm

Waiting for your call
To let the sky open up
Permitting your curtain
Of moisture to fall

I think your silence waits
For the OK to voice itself
A Capella sometimes
The drops sing

Truly amazing
It is
When the essence of your chorus
Cries out for its megaphone
Backed by her queen of jazz
Natures saxophone

Absolutely remarkable
I find you
Heavens
When you touch our tainted earth
Not only with droplets
Soft
As they pitter-patter
But also with torrents of life-gifting
Gushing
Rushing down
Breaking through with sound
Cleansing
Baptizing our ground
Immersed

You go from jazz
Hip-hop
Be-bop
You sing the blues
And when that orchestra walks out on stage
You open our programs to a whole `nother page

Perk up people
Let the music begin
Allow yourself to fall into rhythm
Some don't know how to find
But don't let your body lie
Stand up
Raise your arms to the sky
Find yourself in sync
As the leaves twirl by

Time for the woodwinds
A flute, a clarinet
Here comes the bass
And a string quartet
Added
To this instrumental ensemble
Getting louder, definitely not dimmer
Ahh..yes, your colossal cymbals

Your blue vault opens up
And then in high respect
You give us a show of light
Stimulating the organs of sight
Zippity-zap
Your dancers
Tippity-tap
At your large outdoor performance

People
Get up!
Swirl into movement
Into this moment
Don't dismiss what you see
You don't want to miss
the grand finale..
