Acceptance
I just want a minute of your time
I am misunderstood
see you think I am one way
but I am totally different
I can't prove you wrong if you don't stay
and at least listen
after you have been with me for a little while
watching my actions maybe you will change your opinion
I want what everyone wants just acceptance
I am not asking you to agree with me totally
or to defend me I am asking for you to accept me
all my eccentricities, all my qualities
all my make-up right here before you
I just want to know I am not alone
when I look around I want to see a face in the crowd
that I can be me with
so just tell me am I asking to much?
