Don't Turn Around
"Not a factual poem,as I've been happily married
for 25 years, the words just came to mind."
I see that look in your eyes again,
That look of guilt...when you won't
tell me where you've been.
Is she worth it,do you love her more than us?
Or is it something new,not as much love as lust?
Do you hold her in your arms like you use to hold me?
Are you telling her you asked...but I won't set you free?
Do you take her to all the places I wouldn't know?
Does she know you kiss me...and tell me you love
me before you go?
Are you setting yourself or her up for heartache?
Because I don't care anymore...
how much did you expect me to take?
She can have you...I just don't care,
I'm tired of worrying...some things I
just won't share.
So go to her, don't bother to turn around,
I'll be fine,I still have my pride...I won't let
you drag me down.
When you get tired of her and want to come home again,
Don't even knock...I'll never let you come back in.
