OH, MY LIVERPOOL HOME!

I was born in Liverpool,
Some time Ago,
And I must admit,
It's a great place to know.
The people are friendly,
As I'm sure you will find,
They're always ready to help,
And they never mind.
You see it in the paper,
Giving Liverpool a bad name,
But that's because - they haven't a clue,
And that really is a shame.
We've got the Mersey Ferries,
And we've got the Albert Dock,
We've especially got, the Liver birds,
Just two though, not a flock!
They sit above surveying all,
As far as the eye can see,
And keep a careful watch,
Cos they're the Liver birds, you see.
And if you come over the water,
Look up and you will find,
The emblem of our City,
A City good and kind!
And when you hear horror stories,
Make a mental note,
To come and see for yourself,
And I'll bet we get your vote!
So come on over to our place,
If you want peace of mind,
For this I solemnly promise,
Nicer people you'll never find.
Now I perform my poetry everywhere,
And my name speaks for all,
I'm full of pride, no shame to hide,
For I'm a scouser, proud and tall!
