The Waiting Is Over
As I lie here awake at night
Knowing this is only right
Waiting for your final call
The waiting will be worth it after all
Today you traveling on the highways
Such a long trip upon the byways
Tomorrow seems like only a dream
Thought this would be forever so it seem
When we see each other face to face
Sharing together the final race
Holding on to the promises that were made
And the memories that will not fade
Search is over no need to find
We are one heart body soul and mind
Taking it slow living each day
Knowing the Lord will provide the way
What breath we might have left
May we love each other until death
Holding on with the love inside
Both our souls opened wide
Knowing this is only right
