Watch The Children Play
The old north wind is blowing,
Soon they say it will be snowing.
Fresh snow on the ground is a beautiful sight,
Brightens our day...lightens our night.
Watch the children bundle up to play in the yard,
Join them if you can...making a snowman's hard.
Maybe impress them and build a fort,
Or maybe even a castle with a court.
You probably think I'm getting a little carried away,
There's just so many things you can do in the snow today.
I guess snowball fighting is still their favorite thing,
It's just I remember them as having a definite sting.
They always say... "Everything's fair in love and war",
Take the time to play with them...they'll love you even more.
