He's Never Gona Take My Smile…He's not you know, gona take my smile, Cos that smile's for the world to see, I'm never gona be beaten, Cos that weakness isn't inside me! I'm strong you know, I really am, And it's just as well, cos you see… He broke my heart when he walked away, But he will never take this smile from me! I'm tough, I am, I really am, And that stands me in good stead, Cos no matter the pain and sorrow I have, I'm alive, and not yet dead! He broke my heart but it will mend, And he's gona live with guilt forever, Cos at the end of the day, he loved me true, Now he's living in the land of never, never! For this I know for sure, He will also be as sad as me, But he walked away, ran away, For no reason that I can see! He took the coward's way out! Couldn't tell me to my face, cos you see, Instead he sent me it in a text message, Ands that's as low as one could be! ‘How could he do it?' I ask myself! For its totally beyond my comprehension, To leave my life, the love of my life, Without a thought to mention! But leave he did, he ran like a coward, Never faced me to this day, And yes, I'm as mad and upset as hell, For he killed my love that day! In truth though I love him still, For yes, my love is true, But one day soon I hope to overcome, And stop feeling sad and blue! I will prevail though, yes I will, For he knows of the strength in me, Its one of the things he loved of me he said, And he's going to find out how much you see! For strong I am, and yes it's true, I have a life that I'm lucky to be alive, So with that in mind, you will find… I will stay strong and more, I will survive! So yes he broke my heart, And yes he walked away, But he'll never take my smile from me… For it's mine at it will forever stay!
