LEGEND IN FOG
The deep fog rolled in, covering sin,
blanketing the small, rural town.
Hiding the mystery, no one could see,
until breaking dawn brought it down.
Anger raged, jealousy uncaged,
exploded that gray night.
Passion desired, lives expired,
exposed in glaring daylight.
A lovers tryst, a heavy price,
to pay for one night of pleasure.
Two bodies bled, souls fled,
a tale of woe without measure.
Legend old, told and retold,
of illicit love unrequited.
Murderous deed, devil seed,
lost souls now forever united.
