What was?
Emptiness fills my heart
As we slowly drift apart
The pain is to much to bare
Memories of love we used to share
The joy of being together
The sadness of being apart
It is now a painful ending
To what was once a beautiful start
My love you did not want
My beauty you could not see
You want carefree, thin and beautiful
That's far from being me
Broken promises, senseless lies
I should have known
When you ignored the tears in my eyes
Now I'm sad, empty and alone
Back to where I started
To keep fighting a losing battle
That doesn't ever seem to be won
