I'm Not Doubting, Just Asking.

I had another chat today,
Me and my mate, God upstairs,
He always has the time for me,
He always, always hears!

‘God,' I said this day,
‘Do you think you can explain to me?'
‘About the trials in my life,'
‘And help to make me see…'

‘See why it is these things occurred,'
‘And maybe shed some light,'
‘To help me come to terms with,'
‘All that's happened and give me insight?'

‘You know what God, I have to say,'
‘I think you're really great,'
‘And I just have to add…'
‘I'm so glad you are my mate!'

‘I had a little thought today,'
‘That's why I needed this chat to you!'
‘So you will know what I mean,'
‘When I'm questioning you!'

‘Catherine,' My God did say,
‘Ask me whatever you want to know,'
‘And if I have the answer,'
‘Be sure you will know!'

‘Okay,' I said, ‘I want to ask you this,'
‘And you can tell me true,'
‘What you think, and what you feel,'
‘As I let my feelings and thoughts show through!'

‘I want to ask of you some things,'
‘That have come to pass in my life,'
‘You know, health, and bad stuff like that,'
‘Hurt and pain and strife!'

‘I always wondered why you gave me so much,'
‘Far too much to bear for me,'
‘Then I came to a conclusion or two,'
‘And I'd like your input you see.'

‘Okay, Cath,' God said to me,
‘Lets see what I can do,'
‘And be sure of this one thing,'
‘I will always tell you true!'

‘Right,' I said, ‘Here goes,'
‘You know the health I lack?'
‘Well I always told you I couldn't cope,'
‘And I often ask you to cut me some slack!'

‘Of course you didn't, that's true,' I said,
‘And I always wondered why,'
‘But I think I have the answer…?'
‘So let's give it a try!'

‘I have all these bad complaints,'
‘And I ask you for no more,'
‘Then just like that, I get another,'
‘And I always wondered what for?'

‘Then I decided this today,'
‘I know the reason why!'
‘One is bad, I get concerned,'
‘And I will sometimes cry!'

‘To save me worrying too much of one,'
‘You send another to me,'
‘It's usually a worse complaint,'
‘And it always seems to scare me!'

‘But in light of the new complaint,'
‘The other fades away,'
‘And just like that, it's forgotten,'
‘Because this other one came my way!'

‘Now tell me God, what do you think?'
‘Am I correct in my thought?'
‘And of course, I always have to…'
‘Ask you - for solace to be sought!'

‘So you see, you give me strength,'
‘By giving me another trial,'
‘But yes, I have to add…'
‘You gave me strength to live life on a smile!'

‘So in a nut-shell,' I said to God,
‘If the reasons that I give,'
‘Are legit, all what I say,'
‘A way to give me the strength to live!'

‘Yes! You're right,' my God did say!
‘I also gave you the ability to write,'
‘To help and give support others,'
‘Who can and will relate to your plight!'

So you see, I am correct,
There's a reason for everything in life,
All we need to do is get tough…
And deal with hurt, pain and strife!

So once again I said my thanks,
And told my God He's a star!
‘And like a star,' He said to me,
‘I'm here whenever you are!'

He's A Cool God, Isn't He!!!!
