Why Dreams? #11

Dreams are for the young, not the old like me.
I've had my chance to be what I should be.
Why dream of fortune and why dream of fame?
I've had my chance to make myself a name.
I'm not a dreamer, though I've found it's true
Dreaming's not for me, dreams are still from You.

Dreams are not the end of some awful means.
I'm satisfied with just cornbread and beans.
Why dream of future when this world has none?
I'm satisfied with all that I have done.
I'm not a dreamer, though I've found it's true
Dreaming's not for me, dreams are still from You.

God provides me dreams, not to thrill within.
I've had my chance to fill my mind with sin.
Why dream of failure when God fills my soul?
I've had my chance to follow Satan whole.
I'm not a dreamer, though I've found it's true
Dreaming's not for me, dreams are still from You.

God provides me dreams, not the dreams from me.
I'm satisfied with all God lets me see.
Why dream of Heaven and Eternity?
Dreams are not to God, but from God to me.
I'm not a dreamer, though I've found it's true
Dreaming's not for me, dreams are still from You.
