Sad Little Girl

Reaching out for someone to hold her
She's had enough of life and the pain
As tears fall down in bluest torrents
She wonders if they fall in vain

All she needs is a simple shoulder
Someplace to rest her head on
But here she sits now all alone
Even her friends and family seem gone

People throw sharp daggers her way
It's a silent and cruel attack
And she picks herself up off the floor
Knowing nobody has her back

Everything she knew and trusted was false
Everything sacred was made of clay
Mankind made her this sad little girl
And she has lived life too long this way

So now she lies curled in a little ball
Knowing that her life lies beside her devastated
Pleading and begging for a simple life....
From this hell that reality has created
