Embracing Memories

What is this journey my thoughts embrace?
answers searched for questions unasked,
my mind holds no more room for storage,
of what once was and what is yet to come.

My memory's not as sharp as it use to be,
or is it the "use to be's" that are not as sharp?
My written words often come easily,
so why is indecision so difficult to bare?

Treasured moments hold great memories,
yet hesitation persistently dwells in me.
So here I sit and finally I no longer wonder.
It is the "gathered anguish" that makes me weak.

Repeatedly asking what or who is my saving grace,
yet knowing it is the Lord who keeps me at a pace.
Which leads me to hold on to my life long beliefs,
for He is my guidance until there is no longer.
