Tears
A single tear
falls down her cheek,
she cries for a love,
that was
never meant to be.
Her heart is filled
with so much sorrow,
she waits by the window
in her flannel nightgown,
for her love to show.
Her soul feels empty
and so alone,
she cries,
wishing he'd come home.
Tears
of sadness she cries,
waiting for her love
to come out from
the darkness of night.
Her heart breaks more
with each passing second,
still she cries,
for a love,
that was
never meant to be.
