Splintered by two loves,
can preserve only one,
relatives comparably close,
a soul mate distantly apart.

To be what others know not,
one love is just not enough,
fighting to keep them apart,
pains me so within my heart.

Choosing amongst two,
not an easy thing to do,
distressed to which to turn,
omit either cannot endure.

My loved ones near,
yet so far away,
know what I most fear,
still no one is near.

I spin in circles,
my verses not clear,
interrupting the ones,
I love so very dear.

Mistakes are many,
regrets are more so,
for my nature is spinning,
bands of gold unforgiving.

Torn between two loves,
no knowledge of which to hold,
yet my heart beats so,
and my soul no more.

Directions I dare not seek,
from those who wish me more,
torn in two am I ,
for love's splattered median.

Dare I ask forgiveness,
dare I ask for more,
for what is in me,
some day will behold.
