THE RAVEN
The raven flew high, circled the sky,
staring with ancient eye.
Feathers tainted like the blackest silk,
he watched the world go by.
Saw the capital greed, and so agreed,
saw hunger, suffering and war.
Rampant corruption, dank pollution,
destroying humanities core.
He flew around, then touching down,
in a tall oak tree alighted.
All was right this day, had his way,
in the worlds chaos delighted.
The sun arose, his panic grows,
he knows it won't be long.
When peace reigns, decency gains,
righting all things wrong.
THE RAVEN
