DROWN IN A BOTTLE
Oh that nectar smells nice tonight,
In my glass as it swirls in my hand,
To my mouth I lift another swig,
And the whisky goes rolling down,
Yes you left me here on my own,
My thoughts of pain in my heart,
So I’m purring the tumblers full,
Then perhaps I will forget all.
This morning was just the same,
I called you there was no sound,
You left me there on the ground,
Nobody, empty bottle in hand.
Lost without you by my side,
In this bottle I guess I will hide,
To shut out feelings inside,
Guzzle it down maybe I’ll drown,
Drown in a bottle of sorrow,
No more do I have you here,
So I will hide out tomorrow,
As long as this bottle is near.
