I know I must heal from my love,
the sorrow I must rid of,
though my heart will go on,
surviving as long as my soul.

Saying I love you is just not enough,
no more can I express what once was,
feelings gone astray as the birds,
flying south in search for warmth.

Cold are the nights alone as I lay,
lacking the love once had,
no one to fill the emptiness,
no one to laugh nor cry with.

Loneliness has entered deep inside,
weakness I no longer can endure,
as days turn into darkness,
hunger fills all of life's glory.

Yearnings felt are too many,
candles burning with no glow,
stars appearing with no shine,
a universe with endless love.

The wonder of wonders to come,
should I awaken it will be known,
that another morn has risen,
with these feelings of the heart.
