Soon it will be twenty-five years since we said I do,
At that time no one thought we'd last...but we knew.
Sometimes it may seem like it was only yesterday,
Other days it seems like forever...but that's still okay.
We knew life wouldn't be perfect...we've had plenty of
heartaches and sorrows,
We try to overcome them and then start thinking about a
new tomorrow.
We've raised our sons the best that we could,
All three of them make us proud...we knew they would.
We're not rich...we don't don't have a fancy house or car,
What we have is right here and we know exactly what they are.
Trust and respect...love and faithfulness, go a long way,
We're honest with each other...and at the end of the day;
We're husband and wife...friends and lovers,and we can't
ask for more,
After twenty-five years...it's still you and only you that
I adore.
