Poems of Lighthouse Bob
Isabel the Faithful (Written for Isabel Conner) #100
Isabel the faithful would never be deceived Though she had miscarriaged yet Issy still believed. She tried and tried again until her dream came true When she became pregnant with fetuses of two. Doctors said, “Abortion, these ones will take your life!” But Issy still believed though words cut like a knife. I will confess to you, “Faithful until the end!” Because she prayed for kids and Jesus was her friend. I brought her to prayer groups if only by her name And all who knew of her thought of her just the same. Though we disagreed in our knowledge of what's right, We could not depend on what seemed to be in sight. Many times scares would come with bleedings premature But with faith of Issy, nothing could be for sure. We prayed for those babies that God would keep them whole And if life was taken then God would save their souls. Looking back through the years where my belief begins Perhaps my faith started when Isabel had twins. -Lighthouse Bob |
