A Childhood Dream

These seven brave astronauts
had a childhood dream,
their dream came true
when they first set foot
on the lauchpad.

They spent their lives
daydreaming about
what it would be like
to soar along the moon beams
and be closer to God.

They left their home
for just a short time,
to frolick amongst
the Heavenly stars,
an astronauts
childhood dream come true.

Who can forget
their smiling faces
on their way to the shuttle?
You could see the
twinkling in their eyes,
as they approached the
massive Shuttle Columbia.

We will never forget
these brave souls,
who ventured out
to the unknown,
may they rest
in Peace in Heaven,
and may God hold
onto them tight.

They will forever
be remembered,
in our hearts
and in our minds.
