Poems of Lighthouse Bob
Footprints of Destiny #149
piptalk.com/pip/cards/photos/Ocean/Oc1017a.jpg Following footprints left on the shore First two prints then four That seemed to travel forevermore Stopping here and there for conversation Kissing and holding hands as lovers do So it seemed in my imagination But who am I to esteem the role of prints With such clues and hints And nothing more to resolve what's hence But to follow on their steady trajectory On distant shores of space and time That might inspire a lore or rhyme Or some deep discretionary truth Some ageless wonder filled with youth And yet I am not one to propagate Some belief that is not based on facts But only footprints bare the selfless acts Of two lovers engaged so it seemed In a romantic interlude of love redeemed And so I dreamed And so I dreamed While tracing images with pen in hand Of two hearts inter-linked drawn in the sand Where footprints merged with bended knees And rolled in unison into the seas Of yesteryear and adolescent days Like a foggy mist or a scattered haze But still my journey continued on must be Now looking back at the prints I see fading in the past the footprints of me. -Lighthouse Bob |
