Monsters at 3 O’clock
It’s 3 pm,
the guardian’s gone
and the monster is at the gate
It’s 3 pm,
the cage unlocked
and all I can do is wait
In frozen terror
I huddle and hide
as the deep-red dark nightmares
Ccme out from inside
They come to haunt,
they come to life,
and I am gaunt
from their constant strife.
They come to scare
the living daylights
into the lair
of stagnant darklights
Of profoundest desolation
I am lost
in my creation
