BAD NIGHTS
Is it I that thou do love,
Are thee mine for all time?
Who portrays in my dreams,
Do you dwell there in my heart?
Oh fair maiden wife of mine,
Is it you I see a night,
Who comes to me in candlelight?
When deep dark sleep is upon me.
Do you weep beside me love?
As I crumble in my bed,
Is it you that mopes my brawl,
Then clears up all the sweat.
Are you there when I cry out?
For have I called your name,
What is this sorrow I have caused,
How can I ease the pain?
Are you my angle from above?
My lady dressed in white,
Do you come to me my dear?
Now I am sick at night.
Pray tell me love I need to know,
For fear of going mad,
Are you the one who stayed with me?
Whilst I were feeling bad.
For if it’s so then you must know,
How bad my dreams have been,
But now my love I’m back again,
From every thing I’ve seen.
With you love I’m going to stay,
My time has not yet come,
For here on earth my life is yours,
Forever together as one.
