Path To My Heart
You walked the path straight into my heart,
When did it happen...where did it start?
You were always my friend...always my pal,
It's hard to imagine being your gal.
We stood by the ocean's shore...and the path
was clear,
Sunlit and golden...holding us in it's light
as you held me near.
Who's to say why things happen as they do?
It could have happened sooner...if we'd only knew.
Our lifes will be so different from this point on,
From this moment...together is where we belong.
God must approve...he's embracing us in the light,
Never...has there been a more beautiful sight.
So please...hold me tight and never let me go,
I never knew feelings like we had could grow.
The path taken was long...lots of time lost,
For love like this though...it's worth the cost.
I thank God for lighting up the way for us to
finally see,
That together we'll face the future...just you and
me.
