My Protectors
~~designed by pj~~
My Protector
Always ready to protect and defend,
Can always tell who is my friend.
Knows if I trust or distrust someone,
Always ready to play and have fun.
I actually have two faithful dogs
that stay by my side,
I still miss Bear and Lucky though...
within one year they both died.
I've had Buster through it all and
he's been a perfect dog since day one,
When my Lucky and Bear died,I swore no more dogs
but...I have three sons.
My youngest son, went to the pet shop and there was
a two month old rottie,
She was starved to death...been bought and returned,
I thought that was pretty shoddy.
Of course he felt sorry for her...paid forty dollars
and brought her home,
We nursed her back to health...she was skin and bones.
Of course...now he says he bought her for me,
We all know how responsibilities can be.
I can't say she's the "Perfect Dog"...she loves to
just chew and uh...chew,
Doesn't matter what it is...anything,everything,
it use to be all she'd do.
Now Sassy and Buster are going to be parents before
too long and I'm afraid,
I imagine five or six like her running in my house,
time for Buster to be spade.
I cannot let myself get attached to the puppies and
I know I will,
I have a "little" sense though and I'll "try" to
watch how I feel.
Buster and Sassy are my protectors and my best
friends too,
One extra good dog and the other getting better...
give me plenty to do.
As long as I give them love, attention,
and what they need,
I know I can count on them to watch over and protect
me.
