Ren's Pen
Only a Short Time
God said to Satan, "Come before Me and we will talk,"
Satan came from to and fro did he walk,
God said, "What do you think of My people?"
Satan replied, "They only worship their man made steeple."
God said, "This will change, just wait and see,"
Satan laughed, "They will all bow and worship greed,"
God replied, "There is no other God besides me"
Satan said, "That is not what they believe."
God said, "You dont have alot of time, devil"
Satan replied, "I know only a short time to do my evil"
God said, "I will come and revenge them all"
Satan replied, "But they dont even obey your law?"
God said, "I am forgiving, patience, and meek"
Satan replied, "But look at them, they are so weak"
God said, "I will give them My very own power,"
Satan said, "I will destroy them all within an hour."
God said, "You can only do what I have said,"
Satan replied, "I know, I know, I have read,"
God said, "I will raise them all from the dead,"
Satan replied, "Until that time, their blood will I shed,"
God said, "Michael, cast Satan and his angels to the earth, the time has come,"
Michael replied, "Lord, Thy will be done."
Michael and his angels fought, and the dragon did not prevail,
Satan fell to the earth like lightning and took one third with his tail.
Michael returned before the Lord and said, "Lord, it is done,"
God said, "It has only just begun, after Satan's wrath then will I come."
