M's Poetry
There For You
It's not my job to preach
the preachers do a fine job
I am not your mother
therefore unless you ask
no advice will I give
but I am your friend
and if you ever need me
I will be there for you
it doesn't matter the time
simply put I got your back
and I know you have mine
don't have the solutions to all your problems
but my ears work just fine
can't stop your eyes from crying
but I have the tissues to dry them
and a hug isn't too far behind
I don't have a lot of wise words to offer
but I can think of plenty of jokes
with us through we can laugh almost about anything
we have seen each other through incredible pain
and I have noticed it isn't who's in your life when it's great
it's those that are there when it isn't
and you have always been that person for me
want you to know I will always be there for you.
