Clean & Sober
Congrats you made it through the 12-step program
welcome to your new life
try hard not to fall off the train
it's moving fast I know
but tighten your grip
you have been through harder s***
she says I am just trying to make you proud
but I don't know if they taught toughness
or maybe I just forgot
along the way she lost what was real
trying now to recapture it
it still is going to be a long ride
don't get off when the train stops
it's tempting but you don't wanna go back
and start all over again, another 12 steps
just know there is light at the end of the tunnel
and one day you will look back and be glad
you took those steps because you will be clean and healthy
your old self before the drugs took over
when you was just a tenant in your own body
trying always to come up with the money so you could just stay
doesn't it feel good now to be so free?
so clean & sober....
