Life has been so hard this far,
My eyes do not understand what’s going on in this world,
So far in my life,
A couple million tears
Have escaped my eyes
And flooded down my cheeks,
Planting themselves in the earth
Or my pendleton blanket.
I’d rather weep a thousand tears
To help my next of kin understand real ways, real ideas.
I have to be the one to teach them realness,
I cannot hide behind the worlds’ falsities.
I refuse to tell them lies about life,
I’ll tell it gentle as I can,
But they learn the harshness later on as we all do.
Sadness, life has been so hard this far,
I want someone to sit beside me,
And relate to what I’ve been thinking.
