I can't begin to tell you,
how wonderful it has been.
To have you in our family,
to have you as our friend.
We shared a lot of good times,
each and everyday.
Soon you will have to leave us,
how I wish that you could stay.
I believe that God chose you,
and placed you here with me.
To share the joy and laughter,
with my family.
When it's time for you to leave us,
we will miss you very much,

and to forever keep in touch.

I wrote this for Stacey age 11, that came from Ireland to stay with us here in New York. She came over with the Belfast Relief Program for 6 weeks during the summer. I grew to love her, and I was so sad when she had to leave. I made her a beautiful photo album with pictures of all the fun things that we did together while she was here. At the end of the album I put this poem for her.
