The promise of HeavenYou gave me life, you set me free. You opened my eyes, and now I see. I was living my life, just for me. because I was blind, I couldn't see. The nails in your hands, the thorns in your brow. I didn't know why, but I surely do now. For the sake of love, you died for me. So we'll be together, for an eternity. The promise of heaven, the gift of your love. Someday I will thank you, in heaven above. Kelley Marie Quinn Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
