DARLING AS I WRITE TO YOU TODAY
MY EYES FILL UP WITH TEARS,
AS I THINK OF ALL THE MEMORIES
THAT KEPT US THROUGH THE YEARS.
I HAD VISIONS OF A LIFETIME LOVE
BUT NOW YOU ARE GONE AWAY,
WITH ANOTHER HOLDING YOU SO TIGHT
AND I BEGGED FOR YOU TO STAY,
YOU TOLD ME THAT OUR LOVE WAS OVER
TELL ME PLEASE WHERE I WENT WRONG,
DARLING PLEASE FORGIVE ME
FOR MY HEART IS NOT THAT STRONG.
SHE HOLDS THE HEART THAT WAS MINE
AND I,M LEFT HERE ALL ALONE,
I HAVE NOTHING BUT A MEMORY NOW
AND I AM LEFT HER ON MY OWN.
