A Spanish lament for the fallen!

the backpacks were unarmed
for a only few seconds
as they slipped off
the arms of the cowards
who left them to
murder innocent folks
to blast and burn
7 month old infants, and schoolgirls
and grandmas, and daddies,
and pregnant women who were
rubbing that blessed bulge
seconds before it was
torn open and decimated
by the hated ones
"The pain in Spain
fell swiftly on the train."
Al-quida rears it's
ugly head in Europe now
amidst the old countries,
who felt they were immune
but a snake cares not
where it strikes only that it hits
and sinks it fangs
and spews it's venom well
for we are still Laden
with Bin almost 3 years
after 9/11...now followed
by 3/11 and please
let us not pretend
it was some other group
just look at the date
you anal analyzers
of what might have caused it
and who was involved
If George W. had truly
spent all his efforts in
catching this man..Bin Laden
instead of leaving
a token force there
in Afghanistan while he took thousands
of troops to another war,
in a distraction from the fact
that he couldn't catch
a brilliant terrorist
who led all the kings men
on a merry chase
across the deserts,
into the caves and
now onto the trains
of the Spanish,
planting horror in their souls
no one would have had to die
in this way, this day
and 686 soldiers in Iraq
and countless allies as well
might still be breathing
and loving and finishing
a plane ride with a smile
and another lifetime
renewed with loved ones
but they lie buried
in their homeland
while their killers breathe
Saddam the deadly weapons
of mass puppet sits idle
in a cell awaiting
the fate of who knows
what and when
Bin laden is sitting
in place with great patience creating
more horrors and no place is safe
tonight or ever for now
till one bullet takes
his worthless brain
in a multi-fragmented
joyous spray over
the desert rocks
of his godforsaken refuge
oh, that I could make that shot
one bullet could have taken
Saddam but where would be the glory
of the hunt, the capture,
the sound bites for the next election
now they hunt Bin again in earnest,
200 more dead and
1,500 more wounded later,
now they turn their sights back
to where they left off
to pursue easier prey
for the effort that was
mishandled, misappropriated,
misled, mistakes by
mister know it all's
that now leave Misses
who are no longer pretty
lying mangled in the wreckage
of a civilian train that traversed Spain
and made an unscheduled stop
in eternity via the madness
of a man who kills without consequence
and a fool who chases other dictators
hundreds of miles away
in hopes to root bin out,
and so he has, and this my friend
is the end result....
Godspeed to the fallen,
cradle them from pain
in the arms of God,
and realization to all
who have witnessed this
that some men use power
ineffectively and kill,
while other men kill with power
and leave other leaders ineffective.
