Your mind is fraught
With the catch of the day
And you begin to grumble
While you watch them swim away,
The air is cold
While the wind blows wild
You begin to stomp your feet
Like a little child,
They tease you
While they splash around and play
As they know they have eluded you
For one more day,
You sit back in awe
And shake your paw
For you know that tomorrow
May be the day
When they don't swim away
